This week marked a very special one. I have been feeling Liam move like crazy!!! :) It also marks the end of the first half of my pregnancy! YAY!! (side note, I'm not sure what happened to my week 18 post, so I'll just combine it with week 19...)

Monster Nursery Ideas
It's been awhile since I've posted a graphic collage of ideas so I figured I'd go with some fun monster ideas :) Enjoy!
1. Monster Mobile. While I love this one and many others I see online, I've opted to craft my own. I spent $6 (vs 40+ on one someone else made) on colored felt and I know I bought waaaayy to much, that way I can match colors for other projects.
2. Good Morning. I think this sign is way cute! The colors would go nicely in the room as well.
3. Monster Onesie. This is just freakin adorable!! I am thinking about making some of these as well.
4. ABCs. This is super fun! I have some blank canvas' left over that I may paint for Liam.
5. Monster Lamp. The colors are almost dead-on from what we painted the room. (although he will be sleeping in our room for awhile) This lamp is super cute and I love that the monsters are smiling!
6. This picture is to show you the monster fabric that I used for Liam's blanket I made the other day. I love love love this fabric and I even went back and bought the last yard they had for other fun projects. This listing is for burp cloths.
7. Blocks. These are really fun, and something to decorate with as well as can be a toy at some point.
8. Clothing organizers. I thought these were really neat. I love things being organized and these are just super fun!
9. Felt Monsters. How fun are these!? I'm thinking the leftover felt from the mobile will be put to good use here!
So there you have it. I love the "theme" we picked for Liam's nursery! Let me know what you think :)

Pregnancy Week 17
I brought out my sewing machine this week and whipped up a monster blanket for Liam. It turned out so cute I love it! I also began the monsters for the felt mobile I am making him as well. Yay for craft time!!
How far along: 17 weeks
Total weight gain: zero!
Maternity clothes: I feel like I "popped" a bit over the last week. I cant button my work shirt like I could last week. :)
Sleep: sleep has been progressively getting worse. I dream all the time now, and its super weird and irrelevant. I toss and turn and its beginning to get uncomfortable to move from one side to another.
Best moment this week: on Wednesday and again on Friday I felt Liam move!!! :)
Miss anything? Cocktails. We had family over and we usually make old fashions for everyone...booo....
Food cravings: nothing that really stands out. I still love pickles. :)
Anything make you queasy or sick? Not really
Gender: BOY! :)
Movement: Just two separate occasions. Cant wait for more :)
Wedding rings: On
Symptoms: headaches a lot this week! sleep is crappy, backache here and there, but nothing to really complain about...yet...
Mood: great!
Looking forward to: My childbirth classes starting week 18! :)
Take care and bundle up!!

Pregnancy Week 16
I can't believe I'm already at week 17! I remember being 5 weeks pregnant and wishing I was this far along so I could relax and enjoy pregnancy! Wahoo!!! So obviously you have seen that we had our ultrasound and 16 week midwife appointment this past week. We are so excited to be having a baby boy!! I bought some fabric a few weeks ago that I absolutely fell in love with at Joanne Fabrics. It is brown flannel with fun bright smiley monsters. I also bought some super soft brown minky type of fabric to back a blanket. Teal satin binding too! So I plan on working on that this week. I would have still made it if we were having a girl, but I'm glad it turned out this way. :) Anyways, onto week 16...
How far: 16 weeks
Total weight gain: ZERO! still at my pp weight during my midwife appointment :)
Maternity clothes: I cant stand anything tight on my belly, so its fleece pants, yoga pants, pjs, and my maternity jeans/work pants. Still rockin the larger t shirts since my maternity shirts are too big yet.
Sleep: Hasn't been great this week. Just a lot of tossing and turning.
Best Moment: obviously seeing my little boy at our ultrasound!!! He is just perfect!!
Miss anything: coffee, headache medicine.
Food cravings: still mustard, pickles and oj
Anything make you queasy or sick: nothing really
Gender: BOY!! :)
Movement: still waiting...its hard to tell, but until I'm positive I wont post it.
Wedding ring: On
Symptoms: headaches!! They are pretty mild, but really annoying! Sinus pain, tired, peeing a lot more during the day. I cry easily, and over silly things.
Mood: Good, sometimes emotional
Looking forward to: sewing my sweet little boy his blanket!
I also finally ordered my prefold cloth diapers. I have them prepped and stored away with the rest of his covers and fun baby stuff! I did buy the Moby wrap as well as a sweet maternity coat at Target!
Oh! I also found a very local place that does placenta encapsulation! I am super thrilled! She is very reasonably priced and her father is actually my next door neighbor! Small world...anyways, she posted the process on her website and I realized how easy it is to do it yourself. I contemplated doing it ourselves, but after thinking about it, I realized that I probably wont want to mess around with it after the birth. I know I will want to enjoy Liam and our family time. :)
Hope you all stay warm!

Introducing...
Introducing...
Liam Thomas Fischer
That's his foot up to his face, he looks like a toe sucker lol. Liam takes after his Mommy I guess, his arms are up with his fist alongside his head. (The way I sleep) He kept his hands up there the whole time, even wiggling his fingers enough to flip us the bird a few times... :)
I feel kinda bad posting this wee willy winky online for the world to see, but whatever...Im sure I'll embarrass him in worse ways. :)
Everything looked great, mind you this was not a diagnostic ultrasound, but the tech also works in a hospital, so if she would have seen something she would have referred us to the Dr.
We saw fluid in his stomach and kidneys which means he is drinking the amniotic fluid and digesting it, and we saw the 4 chambers of his heart pumping away. His heartrate was 145 at the ultrasound studio and at the midwives.
The moment the tech put the wand/probe thingy on me and I saw that there really was something inside of me, I cried. Being that I don't have many symptoms at all and havent felt him moving around yet has definitely made it a dream like thing. And seeing him, that he's really in there...it was so reassuring and amazing!!
We did see him in 3D, but we only got 2D photos, which I'm glad, he didnt look like much in 3D. He's not plump enough to really get a good idea of what he will look like anyways.
Anywho...Yay!!! :) We bought a baby book at babies R us and a the cutest onesie i think ive ever seen...
I just looked for it online and couldnt find it. It's one of the organic cotton onsies with a tractor and cow and other such things. Adorable!! We also stopped at walmart to print our u/s photos and while we waited I picked out two bodysuits. One with crazy sea creatures and the other is robots. Super cute!
Anyhow, I have no regrets finding out the gender of our child. It is amazing to talk to him and just to know!
I hope you all are doing well!
Nikky, Scott, and Baby Liam :)
